“We love each other, period.”

Today I am excited because I get to write about my favorite core value. Love is something that I feel is very important because it can solve all the world’s problems. I think when people discuss the challenges we face as a world today, very few of us probably realize that all of them can be solved with love. If you reflect on some of the world’s challenges today, you will notice that love is not how they are trying to be solved but rather the opposite.

Today I’m going to write about love in a different way than I usually do. I’ve actually been talking about this for the last 24, and that’s self-love. Self-love is so important, but I didn’t always know this or even what it meant. If you look it up in the dictionary, self-love is defined as regard for one’s own well-being and happiness. This is not in a narcissistic way but in a desirable one.

If you ask most people what they love, you will hear many of the same answers. Many will say family, friends, their pets, and a few might even say their jobs. Very few will answer that question by saying I love me. Of course, this is because most don’t wanna sound like they are full of themselves, but another reason is that they probably don’t love themselves.

What I have found in my experience is this is so important. If you stare at yourself in the mirror, you will decide how much you love that person. It will be based on how proud you are of the person staring back at you. This may be for the things that you have done, and it may also be for things that you have not done or failed to do. It may be for the way you have treated your body, or it may be for the way you have treated others.

It also could be if you have kept promises to yourself and if you have done things to the best of your ability. The bottom line is if you are not proud of yourself, you probably won’t love yourself much. This is very, very important. If you don’t love yourself, it will be hard to love others effectively. I know you love your family and your friends, and I know you love material things too. You wouldn’t love them as much as you could if you learned to love yourself more.

The amount of love we have for ourselves is what dictates how great of a lover of others we are. If you love the person that you are, everything that you stand for, and the effort you put into your everyday life, then you will be happy and proud of yourself. And when this happens, you will be a better lover. And better lovers create an environment of love which also creates self-love and better lovers. Next thing you know, you have created love momentum!

The point I’m trying to get across is this. If you’re looking for love and have not found it, maybe you just need to try to find it in the mirror. If you have found love through others but for some reason are still not happy, maybe you don’t love yourself yet. We all need to love ourselves before we can love others effectively.

And once we start to fall in love with ourselves and make ourselves proud, we will also start to forgive ourselves when we fail. This is because we will know that we didn’t fail on purpose but rather because we are not perfect. You see, when you love yourself, you won’t even be able to lie to yourself anymore. This is why self-love is so important and so great.

I want you to love yourself! I know how important this is, and I want you to please understand it. Falling in love with yourself if you’re not there doesn’t happen immediately. It will start out slow at first. You will promise yourself some things and actually do them. You will treat others the way that you would like to be treated. You will treat your body and mind with respect. These are just a few of the things that you can do to start falling in love with yourself.

When this starts to happen, it will also be easier for you to forgive yourselves for all those things that happened two months, two years, and even 22 years ago. If you want hate to stop, you gotta stop hating yourself. And if you want to have love, you’ve gotta start loving yourself.

At TLC, we teach everyone to love one another, period. We challenge people to accept others despite their differences. We also remind people that they will be accepted no matter who they are here. This is definitely happening here, but if we all learned to love ourselves more, then we could love others even more!

I have said it before 1000 times, and I’m sure I will see it at least 1000 more. We can change the world with love. We don’t have to be clever, we don’t have to have money, and we don’t have to be smart. All we have to do is love and respect one another, and the best way to do that is to learn how to love ourselves.

I thank each and every one of you for reading my messages every week, and I thank you for loving me. I hope you have an amazing week, and I hope that this message has inspired you to go on a self-love journey. Love is the cure for everything, and it can be found in a mirror near you; try it out!

I will be back next week for another message, but until then, please keep being the greatest version of yourself every day!

Love you!
