While you might recognize the scent from household purifiers, it’s also incredibly useful in supporting feelings of stress relief, relaxing and clearing the mind, and especially beneficial when blended with TLEO Fractionated Coconut Oil for massage therapy.
A 2015 study± measured pulse and blood pressure before and after a massage with lemongrass oil as the aromatic added to sweet almond oil as the base massage oil. Each study participant had one massage per week for three weeks. The results of the study concluded that the lemongrass oil massage helped reduce diastolic blood pressure but had no effect on their systolic blood pressure or pulse. Researchers posited lemongrass might have a “harmonizing effect” on feelings of tension and stress.
And what the TLEO aromatic lifestyle gives you as a bonus while you are feeling the bliss of massage elation: Lemongrass essential oil includes loads of antioxidants – those healthful soldiers that help prevent free radicals and oxidative stress, which damage the skin. So lemongrass in a massage (or in a bath) is your skin’s best buddy, all while it’s busy working to make your muscles and joints say “Ahhhhh.”
Keep in mind, too, TLEO Lemongrass pairs well for diffusing with nearly every other TLEO scent – from the citrus family to the woody rosemary and lavender to the minty goodness of peppermint. The possibilities, as they say, are endless with lemongrass’ benefits to your skin and body.
